All the splitters should flow to the left, with the exception of the splitter in the eighth column which will flow forwards, being fed by the last merger in-front of the fourth smelter.Īt this point we will be placing two merger lines against the constructor’s outputs. We can now place a splitting manifold line, to do so place a splitter directly two places behind each constructor input. These should be placed in the centre of each column with the edge of the constructor along the front edge of the fifth row. To get the right placement for the splitters, we shall first place the eight constructors. Part 3 – Placing The Iron Rod Constructor LineĪt this point we need to build another manifold line, this time splitting the iron ingots between eight constructors. The other 3 smelters will run at 100%.Īt this point, your factory should now look something like this. You can also delete the stacks of mergers beneath the top manifold line.Īs we are trying to run this factory at 100% clock-speed for the 10 rotors, you will now want to edit the fourth smelter’s clock-speed to 75%. Once done, connect all the mergers together with conveyors, upgrading to mk2 conveyors where necessary. You should now be able to connect elevators from the smelter up to the merger. Next we will construct a merging manifold line by stacking mergers three high, two steps in front of each of the smelters the first three mergers will flow to the right, the fourth merger in the 8th column will face forwards. These should be placed directly in the centre of the foundation with equal space apart. First, we shall place the smelters along the front edge of the 2nd, 4th, 6th and 8th column. You will want to keep the 1st row free for a Mk 2 manifold bus transporting 120 Iron ore per minute. This build can be built more compact however we’ve maintained space to make this guide more understandable and easier to reproduce. There is also two white foundations along the 1st column in the 7th and 10th row, these are to signify where I shall be running a conveyor belt under the factory. The reason for this is that that will be where the rotors are outputted to, for the stator & Motor guide. In the picture above you can see a white foundation in the 8th column along the 7th row. To start off we shall be placing a grid, 8 wide and 13 foundations long. If you intend to manufacture motors, you can follow our Stator & Motor build guide, however you will need to double up this factory to produce 20 rotors per minute.
